LAW 829 - Nonprofit Organizations

Description A general survey of nonprofit organization law emphasizing nonprofit corporations. The course covers nonprofits from hospitals to local community theater. Organizational documents and legal theory will be stressed, and the course will cover issues concerning each stage of the life cycle of the organization from start-up to dissolution. Modest coverage of tax exemptions.
