LAW 885 - Education and the Law

Description The course is designed to identify and explore current and developing legal issues in education. Topics include the relationships among the state, public and private educational systems; legal problems encountered in elementary, secondary and higher education; student issues; parent and teacher rights and responsibilities; collective bargaining; and the impact of federal programs in the areas of privacy and education to the handicapped.
