NURS 767 - Quantitative Analysis of Workflow to Improve Patient Outcomes


3 cr hrs

Description This course will focus on process improvement models and methods to impact nurse sensitive clinical outcomes and process outcomes. Content will include concepts of just-culture and safety, system science, the use of workflow tools to support practice, and the integration of quality control and regulatory processes. Human factors related to human interaction with technology and usability are included.  The use of informatics for clinical and patient outcomes management including risk analysis and reduction will be discussed.
