Master’s coursework 30 credit hours (from USD or an equivalent Master’s degree in Chemistry from a qualifying institution)
Graduate Seminar 6 credit hours
12 credit hours from the courses below are required of all doctoral students. (Note, students must choose Solid State Physics or Solid State Chemistry but may not count both toward their program of study.)
* Appropriate courses may be substituted in the student’s program of study with the approval of the Department Chair and Graduate Dean.
Note: Up to 6 cr hrs of electives from the master’s program may be counted as electives in the doctoral program with approval of the department chair and graduate program coordinator.
