English (B.A., B.S.)


36 Major Hours, 120 Degree Hours

Students in this major must also complete requirements for a degree in the College of Arts & Sciences .

Note:


ENGL 101 and ENGL 210 are considered pre-major requirements and do not count towards the 36 credit hours required in the major.  Students who complete UHON 110 are not required to take ENGL 101 or 210 for the purpose of the English major.

Specialization: Secondary Teaching (36 hours)


Students who wish to obtain certification to teach secondary school must also complete coursework and testing in the School of Education. Please contact the English Department or the School of Education for further information.
