PHTH 748 - PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY 4 cr hrs
Description Pediatric Physical Therapy is a required course of the second year physical therapy student. The emphasis of this course is on the acquisition of knowledge for the role of a pediatric physical therapist in a school system and medical-based facility.
Prerequisites and Corequisites Pre - requisite: Registered in Professional Physical Therapy Curriculum
Notes The emphasis of this course will be on the acquisition of knowledge for the role of a pediatric physical therapist in a school system, medical based facility and independent practice. Anatomical, developmental and psychosocial sequences will be examined in order to provide the base for normal growth and development from birth-21 years. Clinical and therapeutic knowledge will be presented in order to foster examination, evaluation and treatment skills of the students with this unique population.
