PHYS 683 - MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS II (C)

Description A continuation of PHYS 581. The topics of emphasis are partial differential equations, boundary value problems, special functions, Green’s Functions, and linear algebra. Additional topics of interest will be chosen; possible topics include differential forms and geometry, tensors in physics, group theory, distributions, statistical methods, integral equations, difference equations, numerical methods, variation techniques, etc.
