SOCW 580 - SOCIAL WORK WITH AGING POPULATIONS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Description Students will explore how disabilities and aging impact individuals, families, organizations, communities, and regions in contemporary American society. Students will study the social services delivery system that responds to the needs of individuals with disabilities and individuals through the aging process. Policy issues that impact aging persons and persons with disabilities along with social work practice approaches will be studied. Students will conduct individual research in an area of interest and the course will use the Gero-Rich Competency Scale to enhance student learning.
