DCOM 428 - American Sign Language I This course introduces students to American Sign Language (ASL), including practice with basic conversation, grammatical forms (topic-comment, questions, negatives), vocabulary, spatial relations, visual-gestural communications, non-manual signs, finger spelling and numbering. Norms, values, social rules and traditions in American Deaf Culture are emphasized.
Note Meets USD Graduation Requirement in Intensive Writing.
