DCOM 730 - CENTRAL AUDITORY PROCESSING DISORDERS


3 cr hrs

Description This course will orient the student to current perspectives in and methods of screening for, differentially diagnosing, and managing central auditory processing disorders from a multidisciplinary perspective. Although the primary focus of this course will be auditory processing disorders in school-aged children and the role of various members of the educational team (e.g., audiologist, speech-language pathologist, educational psychologist, special educator, and others), information also will be applicable to the adult population.
