Description Applied, monitored and supervised, field-based learning experience for which the student may or may not be paid. Students gain practical experience; they follow a negotiated and or directed plan of study. A higher level of supervision is provided by the instructor in these courses than is the case with field experience courses.
Notes Offered as a required course for the Dietetic Internship Program, for post-baccalaureate students who have completed Didactic Program in Dietetics requirements from an accredited institution. As part of the Center for Disabilities, the material presented will include dietetic training encompassing a variety of health care settings that provide services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Supervised practice experiences and enrollment in this course contribute to the training necessary to become a Registered Dietitian with an emphasis in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
