AHED 770 - TECHNOLOGY IN SOCIETY


3 cr hrs

Description Often viewed as a tool to benefit society and education, technology can also have an unexpected impact with unforeseen negative consequences. This course considers how technology affects our personal and work lives as well as its effect on society in general. Students will be exposed to the viewpoint of different scholars in the field and explore the use of virtual worlds in higher education. Through writing and discussions, students will gain the reflective skills needed to make decisions based on theoretical, ethical, and professional knowledge.
