SPSY 780 - Systems-Level Prevention, Crisis Intervention, and Family Services

Description This course is designed to prepare school psychology students to design, implement, and evaluate programs that promote childrens’s mental health, academic success, and social competence. Population-based, prevention-oriented school psychological practices will be emphasized.  In order to deliver these services, school psychology students will become familiar with the science of prevention, systems theory, systems consultation and policy development, system-wide models of service delivery with multiple levels of intervention intensity, crisis intervention, and empirically-supported family services.
