PUBH 760 - Public Health and Native American Communities

Description This course is designed to provide students with information on significant public health challenges and opportunities facing American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.  Students will analyze and review research related to health disparities, quality of and access to health care services, and the provision of health care in Native American communities. This course will also examine the history and origins of the Indian health care system and explore evidence-based public health interventions that address health promotion and disease prevention in AI/AN communities.
