POLS 425 - Introduction to Geographical Information Systems This course in GIS is designed and intended to provide students with a basic introduction to the theory, principles, and practical applications of land-based studies. Course will include GIS technology applications to land-based sciences, natural resources management, rural and urban planning and environmental assessment. Laboratory exercise to include use of both raster and vector based GIS systems.
