POLS 421 - The Nonprofit Sector


An overview of the theory, history, and current rationale for nonprofit organizations, including a focus on how nonprofits fit within the larger environment of public service.  This course presents insights on the full-range of nonprofit service areas, partnerships between nonprofits and government agencies that share public service missions, as well as the values and practices that differentiate the nonprofit sector from government and business organizations.
