ANTH 325 - Plagues and Peoples Students will explore the role of human behavior in the emergence, spread, and control of epidemics in the past and will learn how our co-evolution with diseases must be understood if we are to prevent future health crises. Skeletal evidence with ecological and evolutionary perspectives will contribute to a comprehensive review of some of the major epidemics and diseases that have affected humankind, including bubonic plague, tuberculosis, leprosy, syphilis, smallpox, cholera, influenza, and malaria.
