PHAR 730 - Pre-Professional Pharmacology I

Description The first of a two sequence course, this course will provide students with a hybrid understanding of basic and clinical/therapeutic pharmacology.  The basic pharmacology focus emphasizes contemporary studies of mechanisms of action and pharmacokinetics while clinical/therapeutic pharmacology emphasizes clinical indications, adverse reactions, and drug interactions.  This course will cover pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, and nervous system, cardiac, and renal pharmacology.

Prerequisite: PHGY 730
