NURS 514 - Informatics as a Foundation to Nursing & Nursing Practice

Description This course will focus on nursing informatics evolution, rules, regulations, and requirements. Content will include scope and standards of practice, professional organizations, and professional development in advanced practice nursing. It will introduce informatics theory as it relates to nursing informatics, adult learning theory, health education, and communication and computer science. Emphasis will be placed on the use of informatics, communications technologies, and electronic health records to facilitate the coordination and enhancement of quality patient care.
