MUS 757 - Advanced Topics in Organology

Description Delves more deeply into topics about the history, design and construction, social function, and culture of musical instruments. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, museums with substantial musical instrument collections, historical performance practice, and aesthetics of sound. A substantial component will consist of physically handling and examining musical instrument artifacts at the National Music Museum.
