OCTH 510 - Cultural Humility: Essential Foundation for Health Professionals 2-3 cr
Description In this course, students use occupational therapy perspectives to explore ideas about culture, health, and occupational engagement. Concepts including cultural humility, cultural safety, interprofessional healthcare, and community service-learning are explored. Students engage in a process-oriented occupational therapy approach by investigating the sociocultural environment of a given population and developing an understanding of the cultural and environmental factors that influence occupational performance and well-being within that population. Prerequisites and Corequisites Registration Restriction: Graduate students accepted into a graduate or professional program may enroll during any semester.
