Description An examination of how attitudes and stereotypical conceptions of the social role of women affect responses of the criminal justice system. The focus is two fold: a) issues surrounding the increase of women as professionals in the criminal system; and b) the treatment of female victims, offenders and prisoners by the criminal justice system.
