PHTH 781 - EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE 1credit hour(s)
Description This interdisciplinary course is an introductory course in evidence-based practice. This course is intended to enable the students to evaluate the findings in current literature in light of current clinical practice. Students will become proficient in database search techniques, the interpretation of published research, and in determining the quality of published research to guide clinical practice decisions. This is a required course for students enrolled in the Occupational Therapy Program, Physical Therapy Program, and Certificate of Public Health Program. Graduate Students in other programs on campus may enroll in this course with special permission.
Prerequisites and Corequisites Prerequisite or co - requisite: PHTH 780 Basic Research Design and Statistics or the equivalent.
