PHTH 783 - QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS

Description This is an interdisciplinary course in qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Students will be introduced to a variety of qualitative analytic procedures and will complete a thematic analysis of original narrative data. In addition, students will learn to set up a research database, implement the appropriate statistical analyses using statistical software and interpret the outcomes. Topics will include, but are not limited to, thematic analysis, grounded theory procedures, descriptives, frequencies, t-tests, analysis of variance, correlation, regression, and chi-square analyses. This is a required course for students enrolled in the Occupational Therapy Program and the Physical Therapy Program. Graduate students in other programs on campus may enroll in this course with special permission.

Prerequisites and Corequisites
Prerequisite or co - requisite: PHTH 780 Basic Research Design and Statistics or its equivalent.
