NURS 205 - The Practice of Caring Focuses on basic concepts and skills essential to plan and implement nursing care to assist person to adapt, cope and grow in the dynamic process of health. Emphasizes the practice of associate degree nursing within a caring framework. Functional health patterns provide the framework for nursing assessment. Developmental tasks throughout the lifespan are introduced. Nursing theory as well as laboratory and clinical experiences provide the opportunity to learn and apply concepts. Theory: 5 credits, Clinical/Laboratory: 3 credits.
