BADM 523 - FOUNDATIONS OF OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT 3credit hour(s)
Description Foundations of Operations Management examines the fundamentals of managing business transformation processes. The course is a survey of the basic concepts, principles, and practices involved in the design, implementation, operation, and control of business processes in contemporary business organizations. Emphasis is placed on the integration of the operations function with other disciplines to foster achievement of strategic and tactical goals in both manufacturing and service organizations with a broad emphasis on the lean management philosophy.
Prerequisites and Corequisites Prerequisite: BADM 520 - Foundations of Mathematics and Statistics or its equivalent.
