Specialist in Education, Curriculum Director
The Specialist degree program for curriculum directors has been developed to meet specific needs and backgrounds of students. Based on this premise individual programs are developed through the cooperative efforts of the student, the faculty advisor, and the advisory committee. The emphasis in the development of individual programs is to provide a general background in educational administration, specific preparation which may be unique to the field of curriculum direction, and the development of supportive area fields which will enhance the student’s ability to meet his/her educational needs and professional goals.
No one may be admitted to the Director of Curriculum program unless he/she holds a teacher’s certificate (not a temporary permit) based on a Bachelor’s degree and has had at least four years of successful teaching experience.
