Master of Arts, Pre-Kindergarten-12 Principal, (non–thesis): Total 32 credit hours

Specialist in Education, Pre-Kindergarten – 12 Principal
The Specialist degree program in PK-12 administration has been developed to meet specific needs and backgrounds of students. Based on this premise individual programs are developed through the cooperative efforts of the student, the faculty advisor, and the advisory committee. The emphasis in the development of individual programs is to provide a general background in educational administration. As well as specific preparation that may be unique to the field of elementary and secondary school administration, and the development of supportive area fields that will enhance the student’s ability to meet his/her educational needs and professional goals. No one may be admitted to the Pk-12 Principal program unless he/she holds a teacher’s certificate (not a temporary permit) based on a Bachelor’s degree and has had at least three years of successful teaching experience. Specialist in Education, Pre-Kindergarten Principal, (non–thesis): Total 62 credit hours with a minimum of 32 credit hours beyond the master’s degree.
- PK-12 Principal core 24 credit hours
- PK-12 Principal Specialist core 0–3 credit hours

- Supporting electives/outside courses 29-32 credit hours

The Doctor of Education Degree program in PK-12 school administration has been developed to meet specific needs and backgrounds of candidates. Based on this premise, individual programs are developed through the cooperative efforts of the candidate, the advisor, and advisory committee. The emphasis in the development of individual programs is to provide a general background in educational administration. As well as specific preparation that may be unique to the field of elementary and secondary school administration, and the development of supportive area fields that will enhance the candidate’s ability to meet his/her educational needs and professional goals.
