Select 3 courses from the following:
ENGL 221 - British Literature I (C)
ENGL 222 - British Literature II (C)
ENGL 241 - American Literature I (C)
ENGL 242 - American Literature II (C)
ENGL 284 - Introduction to Criticism (C)
ENGL 489 - Senior Capstone (optional for students who satisfy a capstone requirement in their other major)
ENGL/LING Elective (at 200- or 400-level) 3-6cr
ENGL/LING Elective (at 400-level) 9-12cr

Note:

ENGL 101 and ENGL 210 are considered pre-major requirements and do not count towards the 30 credit hours required in the English double major. Students who complete UHON 110 are not required to take ENGL 101 or 210 for the purpose of the English major. Of the total 30 hours required for the double major, at least 12 must be at the 400 level.
