Nursing (A.S.)-LPN to RN Upward Mobility


35 Major Hours, 65 Degree Hours

Available at following USD locations: Pierre, Rapid City, and Watertown

Admission is limited to currently licensed LPNs. An unencumbered active LPN license is required before enrolling in NURS 282. 

Note:


The LPN to RN student must complete all general education courses (30 hours) and departmental requirements. Anatomy & Physiology I (PHGY 220/220L) and Anatomy & Physiology II (PHGY 230/230L) must be completed prior to admission to LPN to RN.

Required Testing:


The South Dakota Board of Regents Proficiency Examination: All students seeking undergraduate degrees must achieve satisfactory performance on The South Dakota Board of Regents Proficiency Examination, the Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP). Students pursuing an Associate degree must take the examination as soon as they have passed 32 credit hours. For additional information see Testing Requirements
