Master of Science, Computer Science Plan A (thesis): Total 31 credit hours
Master of Science, Computer Science Plan B (non–thesis): Total 33 credit hours
Master of Science, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction Emphasis, Plan A only (thesis): Total 31 credit hours
The information below is intended to provide guidance to students interested in focusing their graduate study on human-computer interaction. The courses listed are not requirements; students must satisfy the requirements of the MS degree in computer science in order to graduate. The emphasis will not be noted on the transcript. The Department of Computer Science is developing a specialization in human-computer interaction, based on the emphasis described below. The specialization is expected to be available in Fall 2014, subject to approval by the South Dakota Board of Regents. - Human-Computer Interaction core requirements 9 credit hours
- Computer Science electives 6 credit hours
- Supporting courses outside of area 12 credit hours
- Thesis 4 credit hours
Note: No credit will be granted on the Program of Study for a course with a grade of ‘C’ or lower. Human-Computer Interaction core course work: 9 credit hours
