SPCM 201 - Interpersonal Communication (C) [SGR #3] 3 cr
SPCM 203 - Communication Symbols & Society 3 cr
SPCM 305 - Communication Research (C) 3 cr
SPCM 405 - Theories of Communication (C) 3 cr
SPCM 425 - Philosophy of Human Communication 3 cr
Select two of the following (total 6 credit hours):
SPCM 410 - Organizational Communication (C) 3 cr
SPCM 418 - Environmental Communication 3 cr
SPCM 422 - Persuasion (C) 3 cr
SPCM 440 - Health Communication (C) 3 cr
SPCM 460 - Family Communication (C) 3 cr
SPCM 470 - Intercultural Communication (C) 3 cr

Electives (12 hours)

The remaining 12 hours in the major are to be selected from any courses with a SPCM prefix. Three courses (9 hours) must be upper-division (300- and 400-level) courses.

Notes:

A maximum of 6 hours total of SPCM 376: Instructional Training, SPCM 491: Independent Study, and SPCM 494: Internship may count in the hours of the major.

SPCM 101 may not be counted in the total hours required for a Communication Studies major.
