Master of Arts, Mathematics Plan B (non-thesis): Total 32 credit hours
Supporting Area Coursework
Select eight credit hours of supporting courses outside the department. Note: M.A. Plan B: The final written exam will consist of two parts: one part on either the Abstract Algebra sequence or the Advanced Calculus sequence; and the other part in candidate-selected areas, approved by the departmental committee, consisting of two mathematics courses, not necessarily sequenced. The final comprehensive oral exam will be based on the student’s course of study. Students who want to experience research in mathematics are encouraged to consider the M.S. Program. Master of Science, Mathematics Plan A: Total 33 credit hours
