Criminal Justice Minor

A student majoring in another discipline may obtain a minor by taking 18 credit hours in criminal justice studies. USD is in the process of developing a minor in Forensics.

Forensics Specialization (13 hours)


The forensics specialization provides the Criminal Justice major with a background in crime scene investigation by completing the following courses:

  • Science prerequisites 12cr

Note


As prerequisites for CJUS 335, the student must take BIOL 163, CHEM 106, PHYS 111, or obtain permission of the faculty member to enroll. Any two of the three science courses will also satisfy Goal 6 of the system general education requirements, as well as the BA and BS two-semester sequence in the natural sciences.
