A student may count either PSYC 267 Personal Adjustment or PSYC 167 Stress Management, but not both. PSYC 255 Introduction to Disaster and PSYC 359 Practicum in Disaster Response do not count toward the Psychology Major or Minor. The following PSYC courses count toward the B.A. and B.S. distribution requirements: Natural Science Only–These courses may be used only to satisfy distribution requirements in natural sciences: PSYC 301, 302, 373, 404, 406, 411, 412, 433, 434, 435, 436, and 438. Social Science Only–These courses may be used only to satisfy distribution requirements in social sciences: PSYC 101, 267, 167, 233, 241, 366, 368, 409, 430, 431, 442, 451, 453, 464, and 478. Either Natural Science or Social Science–These courses may be used to satisfy either natural science or social science distribution requirements, but the same course cannot be counted as both natural science and social science: PSYC 321, 408, and 423. Depending on the content of Special Topics and individual study courses, they may be designated as either natural science or social science: PSYC 490, 491, 496, and 498.
