ENGL 101: Composition I and ENGL 210: Introduction to Literature are considered pre-major requirements and do not count towards the 36 credit hours required in the major. Students who complete UHON 110: Honors English are not required to take ENGL 101 or 210 for the purpose of the English major.

Students in the Honors Program, those seeking a B.S. rather than a B.A. degree, and those pursuing certification to teach secondary school will complete requirements other than those indicated below.
