12 Credit Hours Required

The Graduate Nonprofit Management Certificate will be offered as a 12 credit program.
Two courses will be required and a number of electives will be offered to complete a certificate candidates program of study. The selection of elective courses will be identified by the student in collaboration with the certificate program administrator.

Certificate Requirements:

POLS 521 - The Nonprofit Sector 3 cr hrs
POLS 523 - Nonprofit Governance and Administration 3 cr hrs
Select two courses (6 credit hours):
EMPA 704 - Facilitation and Conflict Management 3 cr hrs
When selecting from these courses you may complete in either the EMPA or POLS prefix:
EMPA 722 - Budgetary and Fiscal Management 3 cr hrs
POLS 722 - Budgetary and Fiscal Management 3 cr hrs
EMPA 723 - Public Personnel Management 3 cr hrs
POLS 723 - Public Personnel Management 3 cr hrs
EMPA 724 - Organization and Management 3 cr hrs
POLS 724 - Organization and Management 3 cr hrs
*Additional electives at the 700 level will be considered upon request to the program director. Additional electives must relate to one of the federally recognized National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) service area classifications.
