Addiction Counseling and Prevention Graduate Certificate


Program Overview


Prepare to meet the increasingly complex needs of alcohol/drug patients, as well as the increasing educational and professional expectations of employers. The certificate focuses on science-based addiction education to provide the highest quality counseling in substance use. It meets 15 of the 21 specialized academic credit hours required for South Dakota credentialing. Individuals outside the state of South Dakota should contact their state chemical dependency certification board to ensure courses meet their requirements which may differ by state.
