Program Overview

The 12-credit hour bioinformatics (BIOINF) certificate is offered both on campus and 100% online. It focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for biomedical engineering and biology-related projects. It aims to leverage machine learning and data science tools and techniques for data analysis, decision-making and data visualization by taking big data related to biomedical and healthcare informatics into account.

Category B: Application (6 credit hours)

BIOL 520 - Introduction to Biostatistics and Computational Biology 3 cr
