Kinesiology and Sport Management (M.A.)

Program Overview


Prepare for careers in corporate fitness, management, facility operations, performance enhancement, and athletic administration. The exercise science specialization focuses on human performance training and aligns with the guidelines of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). The sport management specialization provides expertise in the business of sport for careers as an athletic director, event coordinator or facility manager. The Master’s degree is offered with the option of Plan A (thesis) or Plan B (non-thesis). Learn more at usd.edu/ksm.

Master of Arts, Kinesiology and Sport Management-Exercise Science Specialization Only, Plan A (thesis): Total 30 credit hours


Core Coursework (12 credit hours)


Exercise Science Specialization (18 credit hours)


Note: The Master of Kinesiology in Sport Management, Plan A is only offered with the Exercise Science Specialization.
