Program Overview

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Certificate establishes a pathway for students to obtain Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. The ABA program is a 2-year graduate-level program. Seven ABA certificate courses are offered sequentially, one per semester.  The courses are for practicing professionals and current graduate-level students. The online and hybrid delivery method makes it possible for those who have a master’s degree or higher and are working in South Dakota or those students enrolled in a graduate degree program to stack our course alongside their program of study. Students can attend 17 of the 21 credit hours through online synchronous course offerings. The remaining 4-credit course will be completed through a hybrid instructional delivery method. This program will meet the Verification Course Sequence (VCS) standards as set by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). Learn more at usd.edu/BCBA.
