Program Overview
Featuring a blend of STEM education and real-world training in business analysis and technology evaluation, this value-added credential offers tangible support for graduates facing a competitive job market. Think critically across disciplines and solve practical problems through real-world interactions with inventors, business leaders and area experts providing education beyond the classroom. The academic fields for the certificate include, but are not limited to, biomedical engineering, business, chemistry, basic biomedical sciences, biology, computer science and physics. DELIVERY: On campus
Certificate Requirements - 9 Credit Hours
- BME 788 - Research Problems/Projects 1-12 cr (3 credit hours required)
- Two elective courses approved by the TRAC director (6 credit hours required). Two elective courses approved by the TRAC director. Elective courses will be chosen from a major area of study in consultation with the TRAC director and the student’s academic advisor.
Elective courses should be relevant to two of the following:
a) experimental design in the sciences,
b) business and marketing,
c) safe and effective use of technical equipment,
d) foundational knowledge in the student’s area of study, or
e) technology development.
