Program Overview:
This certificate is designed to prepare undergraduate students with foundational competencies in health data literacy, data-informed decision-making, and the technological systems that support modern healthcare delivery. As healthcare organizations increasingly rely on data to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes, professionals across all sectors of the health workforce must understand how data are generated, managed, analyzed, and applied. This certificate provides students with essential skills through three complementary courses: - Introduction to Biostatistics (quantitative reasoning and data interpretation)
- Technology in Health Care (digital tools, data systems, and emerging technologies)
- Health Informatics (data management, information flow, and applied informatics concepts)
Together, these courses equip students to understand the lifecycle of health data-from collection and storage to analysis and application-preparing them for entry-level roles or further study in health analytics, informatics, public health, and health administration. DELIVERY: Online Certificate Requirements - 9 Credit Hours Required
