1. The student must earn a “C” as a minimum grade in all courses required for the nursing major. 2. Required sequence a. PHGY 220 and PHGY 220L must be taken prior to or concurrent with NURS 205 b. PHGY 230 and PHGY 230L must be taken prior to or concurrent with NURS 260 c. MATH 102 must be taken prior to or concurrent with NURS 281 3. Contact and Credit hours a. Contact Hours Theory: 1 credit hour = 1 contact hour per week per semester Learning Lab/Clinical: 1 credit hour = 3 contact hours per week per semester b. Nursing credit ratios NURS 205 5:3 (8 credit hours = 5 theory hours and 3 clinical/lab hours) NURS 260 5:4 (9 credit hours = 5 theory hours and 4 clinical/lab hours) NURS 281 4: 4 (8 credit hours = 4 theory hours and 4 clinical/lab hours) NURS 283 1:0 (1 credit hour = 1 theory hour) NURS 285 4:5 (9 credit hours = 4 theory hours and 5 clinical/lab hours) Two-Year Plan
The following is the sequence of the Nursing courses. Students may complete support courses prior to entering or concurrent with the nursing courses. Students must consult their advisor before completing their schedules regarding both departmental and non-departmental requirements.
