18 HOURS
For students who have professional interests in the Spanish- or German-speaking areas, the following interdisciplinary minors are available. Students who have professional interests or plan to pursue graduate work in one of the areas will find it advisable to include additional work in the language of their area. Two years of the related language are a prerequisite. For further information, consult the chair, Department of Language, Linguistics & Philosophy.
The college rule that no more than 36 hours may be counted from one discipline is applicable here. At least 18 hours in each of these area minors must be in courses other than those already counted toward majors or another minor. No course may be counted for both a major and a minor.
