BIOC 525 - BIOCHEMISTRY ESSENTIALS

Description This course provides content on the structure and function of biological molecules, including carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins and their relation to life sciences. Topics include enzymology, special properties of biological membranes, hormones, vitamins, metabolic pathways, biotransformations and molecular biology. This course is not intended for students seeking advanced training in programs that require or recommend organic chemistry and biochemistry.

Prerequisites and Corequisites
Prerequisites: “C” or better in CHEM 106 and CHEM 107.
