HIST 371 - Indian Wars: Past and Present This class dismantles the notion that Indigenous resistance ended in 1890 at Wounded Knee. Using a thematic approach, this class examines competing worldviews between Indigenous peoples and settlers and their subsequent responses. This class explores how Indigenous peoples employed various tools to resist ongoing colonization and continued to exert their sovereign rights to protect their land and peoples into the 21st century.
