PHYS 743 - Statistical Mechanics (C)

Description This is a one-semester course in classical and quantum statistical mechanics. Topics include ensembles, partition functions, identical particles, Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein statistics. Other topics will be chosen from mean field theory, phase transformations, renormalization group theory, Monte Carlo techniques, and other topics of interest.
