LAW 707 - Foundations of Lawyering I

Description This course combines lawyering skills of legal research, writing, and analysis with an introduction to habits, skills, judgment and values that will prepare students for the legal profession and inform their professional identities. Students learn legal research techniques in standard primary sources of law, then develop those underlying techniques to find the law relevant to their significant legal writing assignments. Students analyze varieties of legal authorities, synthesize those authorities, and apply them to factual situations.  
Prerequisites and Corequisites Registration Restriction: Instructor permission required
