SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Lulu B. Wheeler Scholarship available to Addiction Studies majors. (one time only)

Recipients must have declared ADS as a major, be at least a sophomore, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and plan on working in the healing arts. Applications may be obtained in the department office and are due March 1.

  • Faithe Family Fellowship Scholarship available to Addiction Studies majors. (one time only).

Recipients must have declared ADS as a major, be at least a sophomore, have a departmental GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Recipients must complete an essay application that is specific to ADS by March 1. Receiving Faithe Family Scholarship may have an impact on your other scholarships.

  • John R. Williams Scholarship available to Addiction Studies majors. (one time only)

Recipients must have declared ADS as a major, classified as a junior or senior during the academic year the scholarship takes effect, be a student in good standing with USD, involved in USD community, show financial need and complete an application available in the ADS Department (Julian 304) including a statement regarding career goals and why they will be an effective substance abuse professional. Application due March 1.

  • Duane H. & Terrell A. Mackey Addiction Studies Scholarship. (awarded annually)

    Recipients must have declared ADS as a major. First consideration shall be given to students in the USD Scholars program.
